Our Client One of the largest providers of comprehensive healthcare services in the Middle East. This group incorporates many medical facilities built and equipped according to the highest international standards, offering specialised medical centers achieving many firstly performed procedures in the private sector. They are now seeking appropriately qualified Consultants to work with them in Saudi Arabia Job Requirement Consultant Hematologist is fully responsible to provide highest standard of practice and expertise in assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients in relation to the clinical specialty of hematology in the hospital. Consultant should actively involve in continuous quality improvement activities of the department to achieve the goals of hospital. Responsibilities - Responsible for managing the assigned clinics as per the approved rota by the Medical Director. - Responsible for initial assessment, requesting investigation, analyzing test results, diagnosis, treatment, and re-assessment on follow- up. - Admit patients under his/ her care whenever indicated within the limits of privileges, - Prescribe and administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat & prevent illness and disease. - Explain procedures and discuss diagnostic results or prescribed treatments with the patients and his/ her representatives. - Responsible for monitoring the patients" condition and progress and re-evaluate/ re-assessment and treat the patient accordingly. - Refer patient to other specialists when necessary, also consult with or provide consulting services to, other physicians whenever requested. - Paying daily rounds to Fri patients and referred patients. - Write & maintain complete medical records all the time and also update the progress notes. - Authenticate and sign the medical record/ progress notes with date, time and employee ID number, stamp every time. He! She must also review and countersign all junior medical staff notes related to his/ her patients. - Perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for which he! she is specifically privileged according to his/ her qualification, licenses, training & experience. - Will be responsible for approving the Discharge Summary, follow-ups,Medical Report of his/ her patients. - Implementation of all the approved policies and procedures, rules,regulations, protocols and guidelines, clinical pathways that guide and support the provision of clinical services. - Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, assistants, specialists,therapists, and other medical staff in patient care. - Contribute to development of policies and procedures as part of the continuous quality improvement of his/ her department, - Serve on Departmental / Hospital Committees as requested. - Ensure that Islamic Values and Medical Ethics are respected and strictly observed. - Perform on call as per hospital policy, as needed and will assume the duties of Coordinator of Department. - Attend the Code Blue (if applicable) and should be involved in all other emergency codes of the hospital. - Ensure that reports and information as required by the Coordinator of the Department/ Medical Director are provided, - Identifying and appropriately transferring all the Medico-Legal Cases on time with all the proper documentation and information to the hospital management as per the hospital policy. - Participate in the provision of clinical / academic activities of the hospital, Requirements Essential Experiences • A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience post-consultant qualification and experience as per licensing • UK/ Ireland - CCT/CCST with GMC Specialist Register • U.S/Canada - American Board Certification/ Canadian Membership • Australian/NZ - Fellowship of the royal college • South Africa - MA of Med • Belgium - Bijzondereberoepstitel • Netherlands -Bewijis • Sweden -Bevis • Germany/ Austria - Fachartz • France - DES, DIS, CES, CIS Job Desirable Experiences • The ability to speak Arabic is an advantage, but by no means essential Benefit Package Generous tax free salary- Accommodation- Public holidays- Paid annual leave- Annual air tickets- Health insurance- Visa- Annual Gratuity/End of service payment- (Please note, the above benefits are subject to change and may vary from job to job Job DetailsFacility: HospitalEmployment Type: ContractGrade: Consultant
