Job Description


We are looking for a Delivery Manager (Rail/Metro) to work on the Doha Metro project in Qatar

Job Role:

Delivery Manager (Rail/Metro) to work on the underground lines i as part of the signalling team

The Delivery Manager will undertake the activities that will ensure the successful delivery of the project. T

his will typically include (but is not limited to) the following:

Ensure the delivery of the different phases of the project on time and according to contractual requirements and company processes.

Support the Project Director in delivering the key results and performance metrics of the Line, including order intake, sales, gross margin and cash.

Manage the delivery by driving Quality, Cost & Delivery performance through closely working with other functions.

To strategically manage client’s expectations and wishes with respect to what is achievable within Thales’ overall business.

Ensure all business planning and reporting is published in accordance with Business directives

Manage all different stakeholders; ensuring strong communications are established and maintained.

Ensure that members of the project team are actively managing Risk and Opportunities, and have a robust Project Management Plan.

Ensure all Project activities undertaken comply with the relevant processes

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Rail delivery and interface

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited four‐year college or university

A proven track record of delivering successful projects in contexts relevant to the company

Strong, professional project management skills.

The ability to directly and successfully manage a project team.

Working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organisation.

Extensive client and stakeholder management.

Experience in project management in GCC countries.

Comprehensive experience and knowledge of the project life cycle for complex projects through delivery of Development, Implementation, Closure and Support activity.

Experience of working across boundaries, including knowledge of commercial management, best practice supply chain and finance functions.

Requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
