Job Description
• Provide legal comments, develop legal documentations and review/ advise on all types of legally binding documents and ensuring Company is legally sound in terms of all the required legal documentation
• Negotiate, draft, review and advise upon, all required legal documentation in relation to real estate matters, including leases (commercial, residential and retail), facilities management agreements, property management agreements, development agreements, assignment agreements, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, MOUs, LOIs, and all other related and ancillary documents.
• Ensure proper compliance by the company with all property laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Dubai Landlord and Tenant Law, Sharjah Law and the Strata Law. The Legal Manager (with input from local and external legal counsel) will also need to be familiar with applicable laws in respect of Group property related businesses operating in the region and beyond.
• Provide advice in respect of more general commercial matters (including intellectual property, agency, distributorship, franchising, and finance issues) as well as advising on the management and conduct of various contentious matters. To also provide advice, as and when required, on construction related matters.
• Taking care of the bounced cheques with banks and police station, filing criminal action at the police station and public prosecution and following up cases at the public prosecution and court
• Representing all rent committee, Liasing with RERA or any other authorities.
• Preparing memo and to reply in the court for all investigation
• To use the online system for public prosecution and courts, ejary, DEWA system.
• Update senior management in case of the introduction of any new laws related to company’s activities
• Ensure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Interact with human resources and administration personnel to safeguard the internal and external status of the firm in terms of organizational set up and labour issues
• Undertake any other assignment related to the function as per management instructions
• Develop and manage external relationships with clients, Government authorities, legal advisors, suppliers, etc.
