Work within a team of architects: Infrastructure Architect, Transformation Architect, Data and Platform Architect, led by a Chief Architect
Administration and day to day tasks in large-scale compute systems including IBM and Oracle Middleware
Enhancement of middleware and platform environments based on vendor best practices.
Configuration, management and maintenance of middleware and platform stack
Administration, diagnostic and resolution of common maintenance and performance issues
Evaluate performance, monitor workloads, and analyze results to ensure optimal operations
Work on common projects, including new installations, upgrades, etc.
Monitor and report on available updates/patches for firmware and software.
Adhere to technology standards, best practices and IT policies.
Deliver architectural programs that align IT with business strategy.
Deliver requisite program documentation including program charters, schedules, requirements documents, specifications, design documents and testing strategies.
Cultivate relationships with IT management, project executives and client representatives and enforce IT service management procedures and processes
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's technologies and architectures
Maintain current and planned state architectural blueprints
Maintain an aspirational architectural road map for the enterprise
Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
Conduct knowledge transfers with solution specialists colleagues and service delivery team regarding solutions, product updates/changes, lessons learned from previous engagements/experience, etc. as relevant
To be successful, you will need to have the following skill set
Proven application platform experience
Knowledge of IBM WebSphere, MQ, Message Broker/Integration Bus, DataPower, Microsoft IIS, Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss, Tomcat, TomEE, Apache HTTP
High Availability and Clustering
Extensive performance design, tuning, engineering and capacity sizing
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skills
Excellent problem solving skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Should possess excellent Organizing and communication skills
Proven extensive documentation skills using Visio, Powerpoint etc.
