-Obtain competitive pricing for all transportation modes (primarily in to sea freight) and provide same to the sales team, agents and overseas offices.
-Responsible for the development of the commercial responses to ad hoc bids.
-Analyze and report to relevant stake holders received Target Rates from customer.
-Assist with completing "bid tabs" or procuring rates for out of scope items requiring competitive bidding Communication and Coordination with shipping lines.
-Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by answering all customer inquiries within the same day whenever feasible or within 24-hours of inquiry, including exceptions, rates and other fees.
-Further increase customer satisfaction and business share through aggressive and quick pricing. Procurement for FCL and LCL rates.
-Internal customer servicing and interaction with Operations staff.
-Support all other aspects of pricing, budgetary pricing requests from clients and sales and operational managers, and other pricing requests that may arise, including all modes of transport (truck, air and ocean).
-Must have experience in pricing/rate negotiation for global cross trade business.
-As needed, help identify and resolve any customer service delivery challenges.
Bachelor Degree with 5-8 years of Ocean freight pricing experience in global cross trading business segments.
-Strong organizational, communication, logical reasoning and time management skills.
-Result oriented and customer focused personality with good analytical skills.
-Basic project management skills and business sense.
-Ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse tasks.
