You must be motivated to perform and specialise in selling heavy equipment to small and large operators.
To succeed you will have Middle East industry experience and heavy equipment product knowledge in either construction or materials handling equipment.
A clear understanding of the consultative selling process relative to equipment and the proven determination to go the distance with a company long-term is paramount.
Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers
Ensure that all commercial activities / contractual arrangements (with customers, agents and partners) comply with Group policy and all relevant legislation
Identify, grow and develop market opportunities, delivering year-on-year growth in sales revenues to exceed the annual plan
Liaise and collaborate effectively with all other members of staff, agents, customers and partners, so as to achieve sales activity targets
Establish the technical requirements of each enquiry; Consult with the technical team as necessary to select and specify the correct technical solution
• A degree in Engineering/Construction
• Minimum of 3/5 years working experience in heavy construction equipment sales gained within the UAE/GCC
• A strong go-getter/Hunter personality
• Self-driven and motivated
Demonstrated success gained in process and / or heavy engineering industry, ideally attained over a minimum 5 year period
Minimum Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree preferred
Relevant sales and marketing training and experience with good business acumen
Excellent self-management skills and be well-versed in contract management, with excellent negotiating and selling skills
Sound understanding of operational, commercial and financial aspects of technical equipment / service contracts
Excellent organizational and communication skills with experience of dealing with customers and at all levels of an organization
