Our client is NASDAQ listed company which is active in research & development and production of polymer composites. They are currently focused on researching, developing and producing high value-added specialized polymer composites and international expansion of their services and products. For their expansion plans in Europe, they are hiring a Senior Manager Business Development in Germany.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The main aim for the Senior Manager Business Development is to improve the company and product brand awareness and competitiveness in Europe, specifically in UK, Italy, Germany, France. The ideal candidate is either working as a technical sales professional in relevant organization and industry, as procurement professional in a direct buying organization or as procurement or quality testing professional in the original equipment manufacturing organization. Knowledge of the local industry in Germany is mandatory.
In order to do so, this Senior Manager will be responsible for:
•Achieving revenue, cost control, expense control and operation capital control targets;
•Customer development, optimization and upgrading, and with this specific sales targets;
•Improving competitiveness of Research & Development department, support product development and satisfy customers.
Skills & Competencies:
•Experience background in raw polymer materials, either within automotive, medical devices, home appliances or electronics;
•Experience with production distribution, including marketing, product promotion, customer development, business negotiations, technical support and after-sales service;
•Experience working on research & Development technology of polymer material;
•Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (TS16949, IRIS, CCS) and Social Accountability System Certification (SA8000, ISO14000);
•Having participated in Product Certification of related products;
•Experience working with Chinese companies is an advantage.
Education & Qualifications:
•Related to the experience: Master’s Degree (major in Polymer Materials (preferred) / Materials Science / Chemical Related / Marketing related) or APICS Certificate;
•Minimal 5 year experience as sales manager working in same chemical industry OR minimal 5 year experience within non-metal parts procurement or marketing manager in related industry;
•Excellent language skills: English + German, in addition Mandarin is a plus
•Proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
