-Ensures the all trucks safety practices are followed. Proactively identifies unsafe practices and equipment. Raises safety issues appropriately.
-Adheres to and supports all company policies and procedures in support of company goals and customer satisfaction.
-Analyses, selects and approves refrigeration components and systems for trucks.
-Tests and verifies system performance.
-Monitors testing and analyzes test results to ensure performance and energy standards are achieved and correlates to component/system improvements
-Ensures all trucks AC refrigeration system meet or exceed all safety, energy and sanitation.
-Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced engineers and technicians.
-Demonstrates initiative, ingenuity and technical skills for planning, directing and performing assignments
-Provides suggestions and recommendations for system improvements.
-Documents and records all testing results as well as product changes
-Proactively communicates issues.
-Assures proper tools, equipment, materials, and directions are available to maintain efficient testing
-Assists with assessing employee skill sets, trains appropriately for efficient performance of assigned work. Works with Human Resources and Engineering to create and continually update training documentation.
-Provides performance feedback, makes hiring and development suggestions for department employees.
-Assists Maintenance Manager with projects and other duties as assigned.
Broad knowledge and experience designing refrigeration systems
-Extensive Knowledge of DOE, Energy Star, Safety and Sanitation standards and testing requirement
-Lean Manufacturing Experience
-Proficient with Lab view software
-Ability to lead projects and to work well within a team environment
-Proficient with refrigeration simulation software and tools
-Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and AX.
-Excellent skills in working with people; providing clear and concise work
Instructions, motivation and training; and balancing work effort.
-Demonstrated ability to make timely and quality decisions and solve problems.
-Demonstrated ability to read bills of materials and blue prints.
Education and Experience:
-4 yrs. Engineering degree
-3+ years' experience designing refrigeration systems
the job requires a person to work in special working conditions in different range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients, and so forth.
-Must be able to stand for long periods at a time, out of duty hours
-Must be able to kneel and reach
-Must be able to climb stairs
-Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
