As a Civil Engineer, you will be expected to provide support and guidance to the civil team based on assessment of specific job needs. The engineer will develop, monitor and evaluate plans and schedules; review and monitor staff performance and facilitate interdisciplinary task solutions with other engineering disciplines. The Civil Engineer will support the daily operations in the airport to achieve the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets.
Plan and manage a demanding preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work schedule.
Supervise and coordinate technical staff working by shifts (covering 24 hours / 7 days per week).
Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.
Ensure all works are carried out safely and in a timely manner in accordance with service level agreement requirements to meet relevant KPIs.
Liaise with customers and operations and create and develop a relationship with the client. Act as an authority on civil engineering matters and provide advice to the client team where required.
Manage stocks of supplies, tools and equipment.
Understand design specifications and technical drawings.
Generate specifications for spare parts.
Create maintenance procedures.
Monitor and control maintenance costs.
Control the efficiency of the processes.
Understand and update technical drawings.
Have full working knowledge of the areas in the building which are covered by the services run by FMM.
Design and supervise non regular tasks.
Plan staff rotations to ensure full coverage in all shifts and supervise staff hours worked, sickness and annual leave for producing a proper payroll.
Ensure a high standard of staffs personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations.
Provide feedback and reporting to line manager
Perform HSE inspections and provide input to accident and incident investigations
Collaborate with HSEQ Department to provide response to clients request for information, inspections, audits, etc.
Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards.
Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH. Ensure the staff reporting to him/her plus subcontractors are following the necessary procedures and safety practices.
Follow Permit to Work system(FMM and client) and ensure the staff under him/her understand and follow the process.
Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registration as a professionalCivil Engineer.
Experience & Skills:
At least8years of relevant maintenance management experience in compatible facility (Museums Airports, Hospitals, Hospitality, Shopping Centers or Buildings up to 50.000m2).
