Job Description


Duties & Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is required to:
  • Ensure timely completion of the project according to schedule and specifications, including design and construction
  • Ensure that safety guidelines are reflected in the designs and built infrastructure.
  • Contract Administration: Ability to interpret and manage contracts in order to maintain the client and DAR's interest.
  • Cost Management: Ability to manage costs by collecting, analysing and reporting cost information used for budgeting, estimating, forecasting and cost monitoring.
  • Quality Management: Ability to establish programmes and processes that ensure the level of quality required by the client and end-users.
  • Construction Safety Management: Ability to safely organise, schedule, mobilise and direct equipment, material and people in performance of a construction contract.
  • Scheduling: Ability to determine the appropriate start and end times of activities, based on predecessor activities, predecessor relationships, resource availability and target completion date.
  • Design Skills: Understanding of design principles and ability to practically apply them.
  • Risk Management: Ability to systematically manage risk by using programmes and processes that minimise potential harm and loss.
  • Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of construction projects. Works towards positive integration with the multiple functions to achieve an effective and cohesive working unit on the project


Requirements:
  • Engineer, having university degree in civil, architectural or structural engineering from internationally recognized university, master in this field.
  • Minimum experience 20 years in (PMP) management or supervision and design projects management certificate of which 5-10 years in the same office for engineering programs projects. Mastering engineering software and computer, preferable associate in project management field international organizations and associations.
  • Strong Safety/Quality ethos.
  • High levels of personal credibility and gravitas.
  • Strong leadership ability with a dynamic mind-set.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence decision making across all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen combined with an analytical, creative and pro-active mind-set.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong cultural awareness.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Contract and Commercial formats and implementation. This to include but not be limited to
  • All forms of FIDIC
  • Saudi local procurement regulations and Contracts
  • Monthly projections and reporting
  • Protection of business from possible claim or complaint
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written with proven Client interface skills are essential.
  • Fluent in English (reading and Writing)
