Digital Transformation Procurement manager

Travel – Candidates must be willing to travel up to 80 -100% on global engagements

Desired Qualifications

 MBA from Tier 1/2 business school (preferred)

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics/Data

Science/Commerce

 Overall 7-10 years’ experience in Telecom, Media & Technology Industry

 Candidate can be from both Industry or consulting background

 Multi Geo experience would be preferred.

Role specific requirements

 Sound Understanding of Telecom Business and Bid Management.

 Sourcing and Procurement in Telecom (BSS/OSS/Network)

 Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost

management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.

 Relevant 'end to end' commercial skills with substantial knowledge of procurement

principles and the ability to apply these as required in any area.

 Demonstrates strong leadership and negotiation skills

 Demonstrates excellent influencing and relationship management skills

Key Responsibilities

 Setup processes and run Vendor Management function on Transformation

engagements

 Conduct all ground-level procurement activities including RFP preparation, quotes

collection and collation, vendors' queries resolution and contract closure.

 Engage with user teams for understanding requirements of new projects & deals;

Interact with user teams to receive details such as volumes and technical

specifications;

 Assess and deliver procurement requirements for the business (across network, IT,

managed services, infra facilities, OSP & support services, etc), vendor capability

evaluation and selection of vendors, set targets and price points.

 Build procurement plans, maintain strategic vendor relationships and conduct

negotiations of procurement deals,

 Assess risk and develop mitigation strategies;

 Responsible for tracking the Bid, vendor evaluation, negotiating appropriate

commercial and contractual arrangements and right vendor selection

 Lead complex procurement negotiations in the business and externally with

Suppliers.

 Responsible for complex, high value/risk contracts and supplier relationships.

 Contract Management- Contracting with Partners covering all critical Terms and

conditions in line with Customer Contract / PO T&Cs.

 Evaluate Vendor Performance and report to leadership

 Provide commercial advisory to clients on transformation RFPs

 Commercial Modelling and Negotiations for large and complex opportunities for

Large Enterprise, wholesale and Strategic Accounts

 Compile business case and make suitable recommendation, including cost / benefit

analysis (ROI, NPV, IRR and non-financial benefits), key performance indicators and

risk analysis.

 Preparation of business case proposal for the review and approval at senior

management.

 Proven ability in managing the complex bids. Comprehensive knowledge and

understanding of the opportunity analysis, sales, pre-sales and Bid management

processes

 Be able to articulate, negotiate and develop complex contract mechanisms, such as

arbitration, dispute resolution, due diligence and contract termination with support

from Legal and other functions.
