Assist Project Manager to lead the Project Field Engineering Team during the implementation of the project with primary concern on construction activities being carried out in accordance with Client’s required engineering standards and specifications and/or in accordance with the best engineering practices as well as with respect to HSE and Quality requirements. He will also be in charge for the materials (collection and store) and the procurement activates.
Principal Accountabilities :
Manage and maintain the field engineering office at site, capable of handling all engineering matters, drawings, specifications, field requisitions, as-built drawings, etc. for the assigned area site(s).
Work closely with Project Manager, Construction Manager, QC Supervisor and Safety Supervisor for all project needs with respect to materials and engineering works.
To manage the collection of client materials.
To manage material/consumable store.
Set up, manage and maintain the site material control system to ensure that materials are received, stored and issued to the construction crew in a coordinated and timely manner, with due regard for the preservation and maintenance of the materials.
To manage the materials requisitions (IMR/DMR), preparation of Purchase Order (PO), Request for Quotation (RFQ), comparison table.
Ensure that the procurement is carried out in a timely manner as per Tanmia procedure and standard and make sure to get more than three quotation and select the best quotation with least price and meets the quality specification.
Provide engineering expertise to field construction for permanent and temporary works, ensuring that the work is completed safely (HAZCON), efficiently (Constructability) and to quality (Site Quality Plan) in accordance with the applicable specifications and in line with accepted engineering practices.
Verify that the scope of work is completed and handed over to the client in a defined, timely and systematic process.
Provide constructability input to design and execution processes. Provide input to the construction execution strategy, contracting strategy and milestone planning.
Ensure that all Field Engineering activities (including construction engineering for both temporary and permanent works) are carried out in accordance with agreed engineering practices and procedures and with due consideration for the safety aspects of each operation
Ensure that the Completion and Handover procedures are agreed with the Client and that the quality records for the work are progressively accumulated, indexed and available to support a phased systematic acceptance and handover of the plant to the Client.
To manage survey works as required.
Prepare detailed drawings as deemed necessary.
Raise Technical Queries and manage any changes in the project and coordinate with project control manager and estimation departments for necessary changes and appropriate estimates.
Communications and Working Relationship :
With excellent communication skill both oral and written. Able to make correspondence with concerning project activities.
Proven Team Leader that can highly motivate team players for attaining project objectives
Used to have a good working relation with project proponents or clients from Saudi Aramco or SABIC
Qualification and Experience :
Engineering Degree with excellent management skills
Candidates require experience with reputable projects covering construction and retrofitting, debottlenecking of petrochemical plants, gas plant, refineries, and other downstream facilities preferably in Saudi Aramco or SABIC projects.
With at least 5 years of experience in the same capacity as field engineering manager.
Capable to make business risk assessment, analyze budget, review project schedule and contracts requirements of project.
With proven track record of project implemented with satisfactory HSE and Quality performance.
Physical Requirements of the Job :
In good health capable to handle pressure of very demanding job of a Engineering Manager.
Willing to be assigned in the project site.
Preferably with driving license and be able to drive.
