1. Have a well knowledge in the material types. 2. Analyze designs prints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. 3. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. 4. Prepare Projects BOQs and ensure that the materials used are matching the clients’ requirements with less cost. 5. Analyze the completed jobs costs and compare the estimated costs with the actual production costs to work on minimizing extra costs. 6. Consult with personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. 7. Attend with the account managers on meetings with the clients to discuss all technical issues and to ensure that the deliverables are met within client’s needs. 8. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. 9. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. 10. Preparing Orders/Quotations and issue invoices. 11. Prepare and update the project schedule with time line and task to be completed. 12. Review the preparation of the project schedule, providing man-hours and material requirement for each activity and also ensure correctness to capture anticipated durations and manning. 13. Visit the project/site locations to ensure the development of work is all processed as per plans. 14. Performs other task with one capabilities, as may be required by direct manager. 15. Managing the QS and Commercial team. 16. Answer to CEO regarding QS division. 17. Preparation of Tenders. 18. The management of the project cost control team including cost engineers and planners. 19. Check Main & Sub Contract bills/application. 20. Advice and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis). 21. Preparation of Contract documents and handling all the contractual letters. 22. Participate for the Project owners’ meeting. 23. Support and advice on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects. 24. Develop and agree project brief with Consult and Client Pre/Post Contract Quantity Surveying practices. 25. Reviewing Valuations, Claims and Variations.
