Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Purchase special deals and promotions.
  • Ensure adequate and timely supply of promotion products.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date prices of products in POS system and shelf tags.
  • Ensure proper receiving by staff in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate with Receivers in handling returns and obtaining credit from suppliers for department Items
  • Attend marketing meetings with other department managers and buyers to plan promotions and store-wide merchandising
  • Plan attractive displays, using color and texture to enhance; give impression of abundance and quality, while maintaining proper storage conditions.
  • Ensure displays are replenished, rotated, culled several times daily.
  • Offer tastes, samples, suggestions for purchase and ways to prepare products.
  • Ensure building and maintaining of in-store displays, according to established standards for appearance, variety and ease of shopping and stocking
  • Set preparation & stocking priorities for department staff to ensure tables/coolers are fully stocked and rotated for freshness.
  • Stock items as needed.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date uniform department signs.
  • Provide product information to customers.
  • Visit other stores for price comparisons, product and merchandising ideas.
  • Attend training and conferences as assigned.
  • Assist customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with special orders, and oversee special orders system in department to ensure that customers receive their orders.
  • Pass on relevant literature for staff to read about department products.
  • Ensure staff are aware of changes in policies and procedures
  • Respond to all department customer suggestions, comments, & complaints in a reasonable manner.
  • Coordinate storage of items to be returned to suppliers.
  • See that unsellable items are properly disposed of.
  • Keep accurate shrinkage records.
  • Ensure that all department shelves, displays, aisles, prep & storage areas in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department & HACCP standards.
  • Mark down items as needed to reduce losses
  • Use equipment safely.
  • Ensure maintenance of department equipment in working order.
  • Monitor cooler temperatures.
  • Notify General Manager of equipment problems or needs.
  • Review financial reports of department performance and take corrective action as needed
  • Attend Management Team meetings and store-wide meetings.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by General Manager.
  • Perform Manager on Duty shifts as assigned.
  • Clearing the negative stock on hand on a daily basis
  • Preparing the production and wastage report for Meat, Seafood and Deli
  • Costing for all production items
  • Preparing the staff daily schedule
  • Ordering stock in Fruit & Vegetable, Meat,Seafood, deli & bulk
  • Incharge for Fresh food Monthly Inventory
  • Ordering and pricing for Kitchen Ingredients
  • Ordering for Fresh food and F&B Consumables
  • Preparing the Weekend and Monday promotions
  • Quotation and costing for customer order
  • Quality Control in Meat, Seafood, deli bulk, Fruit and Vegetable (Receiving & display)

Skills & Competencies Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree or above
  • 8 years experience in the same position in retail
  • Basic Computer knowledge (MS-Office etc.,)
  • Soft skills like - Leadership Skills, Time Management, Budgeting, Analytical Skills, Decision-Making Skills, Communication Skills, Customer Service Skills, etc.
