The GIS Support shall be responsible for GIS Data Creation and Maintenance to support departmental Geographic Information Systems. Utilizes standard GIS Software tools to enter and correct data in GIS Geo Database while maintaining data accuracy and completeness.to collect, To perform Quality Control checks on received data to ensure accuracy and completeness according to established procedures prior to acceptance. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-Uses GIS program packages (ESRI – ArcGIS) to input, edit, prepare and produce various maps, related geographic database information.
-Assists in developing geographic database structure, tables, forms, and reports to GIS Data Team In-Charge.
-Responds to departmental requests for standard or custom maps, charts, graphs, GIS analysis, GIS projects, and related information.
-Digitize the spatial data and do the data entry of non-spatial data
-Run quality assurance programs on the collected data for the spatial and non-spatial data.
-Check the data in line with the data dictionary format.
-Prepare documentation for the routine or non-routine projects handled.
-Give feedback to GIS Specialist of any problems in production applications/routines.
-Performs other duties relating to surveying work as directed by GIS Data Team In-charge. Collects, collates and quality controls the data that is received from the Consultant
-Performs QA / QC procedure on the received data for its completeness and advice the Head – GIS Section for the acceptance or rejection
-Directs the GIS Editors for the quality control on the data received from the Consultant
-Maintains the database for the Agreement which manages the complete project
-Prepares the bill of quantities for the payment to Consultant
-Prepares Data Verification Reports for rejected data with detail rejection reasons.
-Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor
-Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9001 certification
-Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the GIS are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations.
Self Management Responsibilites:
-Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
-Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended

Minimum Bachelor Degree
-Diploma in CAD/CAM or GIS
-Training Course Certificates related to ESRI ArcGIS Software Job Experience
-Minimum 3 Years of GIS data processing experience with ESRI – ArcGIS Software
-Minimum 3 Years of GIS QA/QC experience with ESRI – ArcGIS Software
-Minimum 3 years as a GIS Support. Work Environment
