Job Description
Technology generalist who fulfils client service requests and related incidents/problems following standard processes and procedures, handles complex technology and business issues, and supports team projects. The support generalist performs hands-on technology support for Global Markets and Banking clients and assists clients most significantly through project delivery, technology provisioning, responsiveness, end-user support and availability management.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Ensures compliance with regulations established by Financial Services industry, CMA, Tadawul and MLKSA.

• Remains Point of Contact (POC) and reserves "ownership" of localized issues inception through resolution.

• Raise Firewall eConnect requests in coordination with Business Technology group.

• Ensure ITIL life cycle management methods are followed using Bank approved IT Service Model.

• Assist with new hire setup process and follow approved decommission process.

• Bank approved Mobility device provisioning and de-provisioning.

• Troubleshooting, escalation of Data/Voice and Server issues.

• Local circuit (exchange, data, PTSN) incidents liaison and follow-up.

• Ensure compliance with Regulatory and Firm policies, procedures.

• Share accountability for project performance.

• Meets established technology service levels set by management and metrics for team.

• Schedule and implement hardware and software changes.

• Make changes to production environment using approved change management methodologies.

• Communicate progress status reports and problem notification to management.

• Provide second level client support on end user technology issues (including off hour and emergency support).

• Interacts with client base, peers, and mid-level management.

• Adapts to new processes and procedures in line with strategic Technology initiatives.

• Effectively oversees components of day to day operational support.

• Ensures appropriate documentation and escalation of repetitive incidents and addition to knowledge base where applicable.

• Provide Infrastructure and application support to trading platform in KSA

• Assist in vendor management of systems used for accounting, tax and regulatory reporting

• Assist in infrastructure deployments and technology support

• Installation and maintenance of Server and Network Hardware, mainly IBM, HP and Cisco

• Installations and maintenance for IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, blackberry devices etc

• 1st level support for all hardware and software problems reported, documenting problems and solutions

• Data/Voice support: WAN/LAN, PBX, Dealer boards, VM/VR. Co-ordination with local or global providers.

• Follow up on faulty hardware and software purchases by pursuing warranty advantage through distributors and manufacturers

• Update and maintain asset register (inventory), ensure all systems are tagged

• A graduate degree in Computing information systems or Computer Engineering / equivalent.

• 5 to 7 years’ experience.

• Previous experience of working in Saudi Arabia with exposure to working with a CMA regulated entity is strongly preferred.

• Basic networking knowledge: familiarity with ISO network layer model with all layers form cabling to protocol.

• Intermediate Window skills: able to provide first and second level support for MS OS and Office applications.

• System management: knowledge of Windows 2008 server. Unix OS system knowledge advantageous.

• Voice and Data Network: Solid understanding of voice/data networks to a level that enables associate to interface between the business and the local communications provider.

• Skilled in problem identification, analysis and resolution.

• Good implementation skills, a ‘doer’.

• Pragmatic and able to be proactive and use initiative.

• Fluency in English is essential, Arabic advantageous.

Candidate should possess strong technical skills in Infrastructure management along with business analysis experience. Good exposure to cash equity trading systems, having worked previously in trading environment with excellent ability to support and troubleshoot systems. Required MSCE/MSCA and also CCNA certifications, with strong knowledge of Microsoft products with hand-on development experience in Windows AD, Unix and MS Exchange. Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver services in stressful environment are required.
