• Provide first level and second level Network support. • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. • Establishes Network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. • Maintains overall Network performance by performance monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. • Secures Network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. • Upgrades/ renew all Network and software needs by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. • Conduct feasibility studies and meet with vendors to assess the best products for the infrastructure • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions • Perform performance tests and ensure the architecture is designed for complete failover • Perform on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimisation as required
Desired Skills and Experience
Required to have knowledge of: • 5 years+ experience in network administration or a related field • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Platforms ranging from 2008, 2012 and 2012-R2. Furthermore, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Licensing Techniques in virtual and Physical Environments • An all-encompassing familiarity of Cisco Firewalls and Networking ranging from ASA 5512-x/5510 and CAT 3560/2960 in standalone and clustered/ stacked setup • Proven record of implementing and supporting VMware Virtualization among an environment with iSCSI storage covering all aspects of Managed and Unmanaged Co-location Datacentre • Experienced in laptop and desktop builds and support • Experienced in managing Juniper Firewalls and VEEAM replication • ITIL certified • Record of meeting targets and deadlines • Worked in teams • Excellent English both verbal and written
