Position : Project Director- Building & Infrastructure
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage diverse groups of people
  • Strong technical background and understanding of multi-discipline projects
  • Multi-cultural experience & sensitivity
  • Superior communication skills and fluent English required
  • Ability to analyses data, make sound commercial decisions, and take accountability for performance
  • Thorough understanding of project planning, resource loading, progress, performance, staffing
  • Ability to coach and mentor your team
  • Coordinates and directs all functional managers to ensure full compliance with all project requirements.
  • Accountable and fully responsible in meeting project objectives and Company directions.
  • Also has overall responsibility for obtaining the necessary project resources to plan and execute the work.
  • Planning, scheduling and organizing all phases of a large project;
  • Monitoring and controlling expenditures;
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards and procedures are followed;
  • Participating in studies, project definition and technical bid preparation for projects.
  • Determining the need for investigation and modifications;
  • Participating in the development of long-range plans;
  • Establishing project objectives and priorities;

  • Providing expert advice on designs, processes and other project activities.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Making staffing decisions and providing employees with training and development opportunities;
  • Proposing and managing department budget and participating in development of unit budget;
  • Accountable for quality of work of subordinates, including those who supervise others;
  • Being accountable for unit deliverables;

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS Engineering Degree and registered as a professional engineer with significant experience of 25 years. Out of which 5 - 10 years experience in a technical Discipline engineer role & 5 - 10 cumulative years experience as a Project Engineer / Project Manager
  • Preference to have 5 - 10 Years of Saudi Aramco or Middle East experience
  • Experience in Conceptual , FEED and Detailed Design of various Building & Infrastructure projects
  • Has demonstrated an overall knowledge of project planning and execution management.
  • Middle East and Saudi experience is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of project management and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/ fields;
  • Considerable knowledge of the companys established guidelines, procedures and practices as well as other departments, suppliers and contractors;
  • Proficiency in planning and control methods;
  • In-depth understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria;
  • Extensive knowledge of a variety of standard project management methods and techniques, and of principles and practices of area of specialization;
  • Capacity to determine program objectives and requirements and to develop standards and guides for diverse project activities.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Overall performance of Buildings & Infrastructure Business Line.
  • Delivering ever-increasing competitiveness. (Cost / Schedule / Quality)
  • Coordinates and directs all functional managers to ensure full compliance with all project requirements
  • Overall responsibility for obtaining the necessary project resources to plan and execute the work
  • Building outstanding Client relationships.
  • Complying with all GES+ Contract requirements.
  • Accountable and fully responsible in meeting project objectives and Company directions.
  • Meeting or exceeding the SLFE commercial targets for the business line.
  • Managing his direct-reports, including Building & Infrastructure Project Managers.
  • Exceeding SLFE Saudization targets.
  • Coordinates and directs all functional managers to ensure full compliance with all project requirements
  • Accountable and fully responsible in meeting project objectives and Company directions.
