Participate in estimating and monitoring construction from the feasibility stage of a project through the completion of the construction period.
Work closely with client, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, accountants, insurance agencies and with all levels of government authorities.
Advise the client on the most economical way of achieving his requirements. Use techniques such as Cost Planning, Estimating and Cost Analysis to establish a project budget.
Manage costs on a wide variety of projects and structures.
Assists the Cost Control Manager in preparing early stage budgets and details costs plans.
Manage and identify other savings.
Prepare preliminary Bill of Quantities.
Value progress payments at regular intervals. Value changes to design or quantities, which may arise by reference to appropriate Bill of Quantities rates.
Maintain cost statistics on a local basis..
Check and review tender and contract documents consisting of Bills of quantities corresponding to Drawings, Details, Schedules and Specifications in CSI Master Format for Civil works (Architecture, Interior, Structure and Landscape)
Assist in the costing analysis for the different tenders.
Participate in negotiation to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
Analyze outcomes and participate in producing progress reports.
Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
Advice on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.
Assist the Cost Control Manager that the design remains on budget through Cost.
Assists in establishing a clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Advise on procurement strategy in coordination with the Contracts Manager.
Review, completion, and audit secure company and contractors invoices.
Performs all other adhoc activities as and when required.
