Job Description
POSITION: Senior / Junior Sous Chef

SALARY: up to 15,500 AED all-inclusive, depending on experience and qualifications

HIRING COMPANY: Leading Hospitality Group

LOCATION: Dubai, UAE

AVAILABILITY: Can join immediately will be prioritized

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Open to Latin American nationality

Male/Female, 40 years old and below

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus

Minimum 5 years of proven working experience as Sous Chef with excellent record of kitchen and staff management

Proven experience and responsibility in a busy, fast paced kitchen

Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes

Knowledge of best cooking practices and understanding of trends and new styles

Food Hygiene qualifications and professional cooking qualification

Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions

Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus

Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise

Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards

Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary

Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation

Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance

Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately

Maintain and go above the established standards of food hygiene, cleaning and food handling which meet current standards of legislation and compliance

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally

Attention to detail and high standards of presentation, creative flair and imagination

Able to work effectively as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to continually improve; cheerful, reliable and articulate
