Job Description
• The Senior Project Landscape Architect leads the delivery of landscaping design projects of medium and high complexity. He/she works closely with Project Managers and design teams for the definition of landscaping design guidelines related to soft and hard landscape components.

• The jobholder also develops different landscape design options and leads the refinement of selected designs across the project design cycle, including conceptual landscape designs, preliminary, final detailed designs and tender documents for landscape projects of medium and high complexity.

• The jobholder shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in landscaping design and represent the firm as a specialist in the professional engineering communities and international forums.

• Ensure responsibilities are fulfilled with a high quality cost-effectively

• Support Project Managers with the management of client relations and expectations, as needed

• Support Project Managers in client presentations and workshops, as needed

• Support Project Managers with responding to client clarifications and technical issues, as needed Ensure client satisfaction with landscape design deliverables

• Prepare and participate in kick off meetings / workshops with clients and internal counterparts, as needed

• Conduct site surveys, inspections and investigations, as needed

• Conduct data collection from all concerned entities in collaboration with local teams, including climate, meteorology, soil specifications, water sources, local species, natural hazards, etc.

• Develop a data inventory system and archive necessary data to share with project team members, as needed

• Analyze collected data and identify main design constraints and key challenges, and periodically meet with design teams of other specializations to integrate landscape design constraints, as needed

• Produce data collection report for projects of high complexity, highlighting all collected and missing data

• Set design guidelines related to soft and hard landscape components for projects of high complexity

• Develop different landscape design options for projects of high complexity, in coordination with Urban Designers, Urban Planners, Architects and other relevant design teams, as needed

• Develop alternative conceptual landscape designs for projects of high complexity reflected in the form of plans, sections, mood boards, perspectives, material boards, as appropriate

• Develop comprehensive technical reports, detailing design concepts and soft scape components, irrigation systems, cost estimates, etc.

• Support client workshops and presentations, as needed, to select most appropriate landscape design options

• Refine selected landscape design option into preliminary and final detailed designs, for projects of high complexity in coordination with other design disciplines, including the development of required drawings and graphical materials, as needed

• Develop landscape tendering documents and closely work with the Quantity Surveying Department for the development of final specifications, landscape palettes, Bills of Quantities and Conditions of Contract

• Provide technical assistance, as needed, during the supervision phase, including solving design conflicts, conducting site visits and reviewing shop drawings, in close coordination with local design support teams

• Develop implementation plans for complex projects, including phasing plans, action plans, cost estimates, etc.

• Support Project Managers in validating design deliverables with clients and authorities, as needed, capturing feedback and obtaining approvals

• Support Project Managers in implementing quality control measures on design deliverables, as per company’s quality policies and procedures

• Support Project Managers with the management of external sub-consultants, as needed

• Attend periodic training to further develop relevant skills
