Job Purpose
To be responsible for keeping track of money owed by customers, preparing invoices and updating records.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all media, production and fee billing are raised on time for the clients.
  • Prepare Unbilled Media report on a monthly basis.
  • Review and own Aged Receivables on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate with business teams and partners to chase for overdue debts.
  • Follow up on all billing queries in a timely manner.

  • Manage new client set up process- coordinate with employees/client to ensure this is completed correctly
  • Manage the process of raising invoices to clients to ensure we have as much as possible in the system before the month-end deadline.
  • Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill
  • Run unbilled media report weekly and manage client's teams depending on volume, value, and queries
  • Issue invoices and bills and send them to customers through various channels (mail, e-mail, etc.)
  • Run a weekly aged debtors report and format appropriately to allow the review of client's debt by aging,
  • Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
  • Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies.
  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information, etc.
  • Prepare and upload cash journals on a daily basis and provide update debtor reports as requested.
  • Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills

Knowledge, skills & experience
  • 3 years minimum of experience in a similar position
  • Ability to diagnose the problem & underlying causes
  • Open mind to assess different options & solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with finance and non-finance people. The client teams should be coming directly to you for any queries.
  • Strong verbal & written communicator - in a collaborative manner
  • Willingness & ability to involve others & use informal/virtual teams to complete tasks
  • Self-motivated, flexible and high level of initiative. Takes ownership of issues and personal development.
  • Awareness of own skills, weakness and strengths, and proactivity in developing other skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks to deadlines
  • Anticipate issues and take proactive action to avoid problems
  • Understanding of SOx obligations, Accounting Standards, and Business Control Environments
  • Good IT skills - in particular, excel
  • Good Finance application skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take instruction and provide follow up.
  • Develop a sense of urgency and instill this in the teams
