Reporting to the head of DP World Logistics as finance business partner, the Chief Financial Officer for DP World Logistics will lead the Logistics Financial Management portfolio in DP World with a revenue target of $6.0 bio, and EBITDAt target of $630mio, overseeing the investment of funds held by the DP World, weighing up and managing associated risks.
Candidates shall have the gravitas and influencing abilities to partner with senior executives within the business and act as a trusted thought partner to the head of DP World Logistics.
Candidates will be commercially strong, a very capable partner to the CEO and the business, the CFO will be change and action orientated as well as a hands-on individual. The CFO will be adaptable and will have operated in a complex, fast-paced changed orientated environment, and who bring in best practices - especially around ESG, Regulation and Risk.
The CFO will build, develop and motivate a high performing team, ensuring future pipeline succession exists within the team.
Supervise balance sheet and cashflow management activities, execute capital-raising strategies to support the expansion of Logistics capability across all geographies.. Support the business on tariff review issues, conduct revenue, cost analysis of individual clients to ascertain profitability and performance. Provide and interpret consolidated financial reports
Strategy and Investments:
  • Participation in group strategic and financial planning
  • Oversee and inform group corporate financial structures including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions
  • DPW financial reporting
  • Raising and managing capital
  • Research revenue opportunities and economic and industry trends, analyse internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
  • Manage assets and depreciation structures
  • Lead all internal and external financial due diligence

Group Financial Management:
  • Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings
  • Leading all cash management activities, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgeting cycles and reporting
  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with all logistics operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities
  • Work with group finance to development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled logistics operations with strong fiscal management
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control mechanisms
  • Comply with state, and local financial requirements by staying abreast of all new and existing legislation
  • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and lead the risk and compliance capability in proactively managing risks

People and Project Leadership:
  • Work with the senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, enforcing compliance, and taking proactive action where applicable
  • Manage finance teams in the execution of all financial management and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable financial accounting standards, relevant revenue services and ither regulating bodies
  • Lead and monitor performance of financial IT systems and implementation of improvements, upgrades and alignment to new legislation

In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Relevant masters degree advantageous
  • 10+ years experience post-qualification experience in executive leadership positions
  • Deep technical experience, including Financial Control & Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Risk and Governance, IT
  • Has led a significant finance function at Group level
  • Experience of working in an international matrixed corporate environment
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
  • Working knowledge of raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit
  • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Led, developed and motivated a high calibre/high performing finance team
  • A senior leader who can operate, with confidence, within a broad leadership team, galvanising the organisation behind shared goals and facilitating collaborative working relationships
  • Development and improving trading processes is a passion, whilst also managing complex budgets and multiple business case developments
  • Results oriented with the drive to management of the DP World assets and financial health
  • Proficient budgeting and cost management knowledge and / or skill
  • Proven ability to grasp, analyse and initiate actions based on strong financial insights
