The Cluster Food and Beverage Marketing Assistant Manageris part of an important team that creates and executes property-level communications to our customers.
Under the leadership of the Cluster Director of Marketing, this role promotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel. This role helps build direct Food and Beverage marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.
This role focuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions, both to hotel guests and to local patrons. As part of the Marketing and Communication team, this role is fully connected into resources in their region Marketing and Communication Managers liaise and build deep partnerships with their regional eCommerce and Marketing teams to verify all local, social, and digital marketing efforts are effectively integrated with the selling efforts for the organization. This role also gets to do a little bit of everything, from balancing traditional and digital marketing and eCommerce activities to contributing to public relations (PR) activities for the hotel. Success is measured by how well they help drive the sales and revenue strategy of the property, social media engagement and also by how effectively leveraged the resources around them are to create truly compelling marketing and communications campaigns.
Education and Experience
. 2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major and 4 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred
. 4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major 2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital or related professional area hospitality marketing or digital advertising agency experience preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIESPlanning and Organizing
  • Work closely with the Cluster F&B Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager to create F&B marketing strategies for all outlets in the Wasl Hotel Cluster
  • Work with the Directors of F&B and outlet manager to create robust F&B plans/promotional calendars
  • Process all paper work relating to PR/Media requests for restaurant reservations etc
  • Manage prompt input of purchase requests and corresponding invoices relating to advertising, media, publishing, graphic design for all F&B marketing needs
  • Liaise with Social Media Manager to ensure all F&B content/promotions is communicated in a timely manager
  • Ensure that all PR worthy F&B promotions are communicated to the Senior Marketing Manager/PR agency in a timely manner
  • Work with the Cluster Graphic Design team for any F&B collateral that needs to be created
  • Maintain files for department contracts with third parties
  • Create monthly F&B marketing report and share with Senior Marketing Manager
  • Generate third party partnership opportunities that will drive footfall and revenue to the restaurants
  • Manager third party contracts to ensure effective us of platform visibility/tactical promotions
  • Create marketing campaign plans for key restaurant promotions
  • Ensure and restaurant sites/third parties information is always accurate
  • Work closely with F&B department to generate creative promotions to drive covers and revenue
  • Have a good working knowledge of Westin, Le Meridien, Aloft and Element brand standards
  • Project manage any Marketing activations as required

  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally to achieve positive results always presenting yourself in a 5 star manner
  • Manage hotel supply of collateral i.e. all displays to have the latest collateral displayed

Personal Development
  • Keep updated on new information relating to the above brands and good working knowledge of the Marriott - MGS and brand standards
  • Attend meetings as required by the Cluster Director of Marketing
  • Follow all specified policies and procedures in the hotel
