About the role:

As a member of the MENA leadership team, your role will be to ensure that effective, standardized training and learning programs are in place to support our Associates onboarding and development as they join and progress within Amazon Operations in MENA region. Amazon has seen rapid growth over the last few years and we plan to keep on growing. This means a lot of new Amazonians to train and coach. A lot of people to help stay curious and keep learning. You will be essential to the growth and success of Amazon and our team members.
This role will be based in one of our Operation Centers, and will require approximately 50% travel within the country.
You will be reporting to the ‘FC Regional Learning Manager.
Key job responsibilities
. Lead, manage and coach your team of Learning Associates to be the best they can be. Understand what motivates your team, support them to develop a career plan and actively support them to achieve it.
. Build the capability of your Learning Teams to use available data sources to understand and communicate performance, and investigate its drivers. Support them to agree and execute actions to improve new hire and cross-trainee Productivity, Quality and Attrition, and to maintain a motivated and high performing group of ‘Instructors.
. Build strong relationships with the regional and site leadership teams. Use these to remove barriers to learning, resolve performance issues, and ensure your Learning teams focus on their priorities.
. Work with your colleagues in Supply Chain and High Volume Hiring, Variable Program to ensure that hiring forecasts and communication of new hires is kept as stable, accurate and timely as possible. And with Finance to ensure that your sites are properly resourced to meet long term (peak) hiring/ cross training forecasts.
. Partner with Human Resources, Health & Safety and Engineering colleagues to ensure all compliance and safety training is delivered across your sites to the agreed timescales.
. Support the launch of new Fulfillment Centers, by hiring and developing the best Learning teams.
. Lead the design of new training and coaching content, bringing together expertise from across the Learning network to develop high quality content specified to meet MENA-wide requirements.
. Co-design MENA-wide solutions (reporting/ system/ process/ policy/ behavior change) to improve the effectiveness of the Learning operation and the performance of our operation. Execute the delivery of these solutions, supporting your sites to quickly embrace the changes.
. Ensure the use of the agreed training, process and policy standards across your sites. Capture requirements to amend existing learning standards and work with the ECCF team to innovate, feeding back needs participating in creation and testing of content. Play an integral role in gathering customer feedback on key network training initiatives.
. Work with Country Leadership and ECCF team to assess, evaluate and prioritize overall manager/leader development needs. Match needs with existing catalogue of learning content and facilitate delivery and completion of training.
. Collaborate with ECCF Talent Ops Development team to institute strong L4+ onboarding and training programs are implemented in line with the network standards
Basic qualifications
. A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
. Excellent verbal and written communication - both in the native language and English.
. Evidence of success in leading teams across multiple locations.
. Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills. The ability to work in fast-paced ambiguous environments, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities.
. A proven track record in complex manufacturing/production environments and experience of implementing ‘lean principles.
. Used learning theory and instructional design principles to create and administer training content and programs.
. Familiarity with project management principles and experience in delivering process and behavior change at pace and at scale.
. Data skills and the ability to understand how Learning's activities and responsibilities impact the metrics that drive how our sites are managed.
. Full proficiency in MS Office
Preferred qualifications
. Experience as an HR or L&D Business partner for an Operations focused organization.
. Ability to influence leaders at all levels to understand their role in employee development and help build their skills.
. Master's degree in related discipline: Human Resources, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, etc.
