Job Description


    • Adjust the CT scan machine in correct settings, warm up tube make protocols to the different parts of the body. Instruct patients to the procedure.
    • Determines proper protocol for the scout i.e. start location, end location, KV, MA, SFOV
    • After the scan axial or helical scan will be taken after making the proper cut lines for the part needed i.e. start location, end location, thickness, spacing cautry tilt, SFOV, KV, MA, scan time, prep delay, ISD, Algorithm, DfoV.
    • Prepare oral Contrast to the patients, for abdominal CT and pelvis.
    • Prepare the injection with the contrast make the protocol for the injection like injected volume, injection duration.
    • Assist Radiologist on procedures as requested.
    • Maintain adequate records and statistics.
    • Request all the medicines and disposables required for the CT Unit.
    • Make sure to send required images to PACS in different formats and correct windows according to the part taken or to be necessary procedures like the brain or vertebrae or spine, mediastinum, lungs, abdomen, make the distance and ROI, in case of any findings.
    • Cover the CT Scan Unit 24 hours and on call within 20 minutes when needed.
    • Assign the Study to the responsible on duty Radiologist for availability of images on RIS/PACS for Reporting.
    • To treat patient with compassion and to be person centered care.
    • Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
    • Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.

o Graduate from approved School of Radiology Technician.
o Minimum two years of experience in Radiology.
o Minimum of 1 year experience in CT scan.
o Must be proficient in English language. Arabic is desirable.
o Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations.
o Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.
o Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.
o Accuracy - ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
o Communication - ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
o Computer Skills - proficient ability to use computer and electronic medical record.
o Confidentiality - Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.
o Customer Service Oriented - Friendly, cheerful and helpful to patients and others. Ability to meet patients and other needs while following office policies and procedures.
