Program Unit Strategy Formulation and Stakeholder Management
Research and evaluate existing Employment initiatives and programs to assess fit with Org. organizational objectives and Employment unit guidelines
Design and develop a suite of innovative, demand-driven and market-oriented products and services and execute multi-faceted skills development, job placement and counselling programs with a view to scale and sustainability.
Perform business development activities to attract funding, and promote adoption and replication of Org.’s approaches to Skills Development and Employability in the region
Create and manage an opportunity pipeline and present opportunities for evaluation to the Executive Director of Programs and Org.’s Executive team
Manage the portfolio of Org.’s Employment initiatives together with the program unit’s skills development, job placement and counselling capabilities in the MENA region
Develop and manage strategic partnerships with relevant government bodies, private sector entities, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and industry associations in the MENA region
Oversee the preparation of necessary project documentation (e.g. concept notes, business plans, reports) and negotiate agreements with partners or service providers (e.g. LOIs, MOUs, Collaboration/Shareholder agreements etc.) in close coordination with the Executive Director of Programs and Org.’s legal counsel
Work with the communications team to plan events and manage media relations with a view to showcasing Org.’s work in the Employment space and delivering on our brand promise
Coordinate with the Business Planning Unit for assessing programmatic impact
Support the development of Org. points-of-view, research agendas and/or specific policy recommendations based on practical experiences gained from program delivery and/or market needs, and represent the organization in relevant industry forums, conferences etc. to position Org. as a thought leader and enabler in the Employment space
Track and report regularly to the Executive Director of Programs and Org.’s executive management on progress against plan as well as relevant organizational metrics
Support Org.’s periodic budgeting process and manage the unit’s resources in a manner that is consistent with PU strategy, Org. criteria, policies/procedures and approved budgets
Build a high performing team (internally and through external networks) with the right skills and capabilities to execute against agreed deliverables
Support and advocate a culture of openness to new ideas, transparency and active collaboration between all Org. program units and departments.
