About The Role

As a Senior role in foodics, you will be leading a broad range of assignments, acting as a trusted advisor for foodics board and management team in matters relevant to venture capital and investment opportunities. You will be regularly conducting detailed market study and competition benchmarking analyze and develop a deep understanding of industry trends, customer segments, and competitive landscape. You will be managing and leading the engagements pertaining to valuations for acquisitions, mergers, buy-outs, joint ventures, tax & regulatory and accounting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functionally with Foodics Business Unit leaders to understand key priorities and current gaps, find relevant acquisition or investment opportunities to fill these gaps, assist them with competitive insights on changing market trends or conditions, and assist functions to streamline and document processes as it relates to diligence
  • Push boundaries by presenting on new and emerging areas and white spaces
    Report on M&A and investment pipeline to the deal executives and key stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships with startups, VCs, and leading technology companies to inform product strategy and stay up to date with the competitive landscape
  • Conduct analysis including valuation and business case modeling to provide detailed guidance and insight into potential acquisitions, investments and other strategic opportunities
  • Support deal negotiation, diligence and investments, including cross-functional coordination of product, engineering, legal, and other diligence supporting teams to evaluate targets
  • Integration Model: Work closely with CSO and other Functional Leaders at Foodics to implement a repeatable and flexible cross-functional playbook for the integration of acquisitions of various s and complexity.
  • Metrics / Tracking: Establish the key milestones, critical deliverables, and repeatable measured outcomes that drive the integration to delivering the value anticipated from the deal. Track and report deal-by-deal performance during the immediate periods after closing as well as the overall performance of the acquisition to Functional Leaders, Executives, and the Board on various dimensions of strategic and financial Value attained through M&A activities
  • Problem Solve: Effectively problem solve if and when issues/challenges related to integrations arise highlight integration risks, key decisions and obstacles to leadership
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, including venture capital, private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate development experience
  • Cross-functional project experience in a high technology industry
  • Good working knowledge of corporate development, strategy and/or M&A experience
  • Ability to think strategically about acquisition objectives and map strategy into due diligence evaluations and a comprehensive integration project plan
  • Expertise with budgets and financial metrics and ratios
  • Experience in the technology or financial services industries is a must - SaaS Startup is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude, possess both financial and commercial acumen and enjoy problem solving to understand the drivers of a business, analyze their data and use this to provide insight and advice to our clients
  • Good working knowledge of key business processes (i.e. quote to cash, lead generation, financial reporting, employee onboarding, systems and data architecture, etc.)
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter mentality, and be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity with little supervision to come up with creative solutions to complex problems and develop these ideas into structured deliverable projects
  • The ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, establishing credibility both internally and externally
  • A desire to roll-up your sleeves to see an integration project to successful completion
