Job summary
Amazon is looking for a talented External Fulfillment Subject Matter Expert to support its rapidly growing and evolving businesses across emerging marketplaces. You will support the business by working with colleagues who will support several initiatives within External Fulfillment programs - Seller Flex and Vendor Flex programs.
You will work directly with Amazon Operations, Retail/3P teams and a variety of global internal tech teams and outside vendors/sellers to support and improve external fulfillment experience and operation excellence. The role is within the ECCF Central org.
Amazon's Emerging Countries Customer Fulfillment (ECCF) centralized team is established with the mission to drive customer experience, operation excellence and cost improvement and support business growth in the countries in scope.
Emerging Country Customer Fulfilment (ECCF) Ops Integration Team was formed in Feb 2019 to serve as an incubator to develop operations capability for ECCF countries and as a launch team for new countries/marketplaces (i.e. Sunrise programs). Ops Integration (OI) owns ideation and integration of transformative software applications, operator tools, & measurement systems into operation networks. The OI group translates operational needs into technical business requirements then follow through to ensure products are effectively tested and integrated to the network.
About the Role
As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operation issue triaging and driving resolution from system & product perspective, owning the key metrics focused towards node creation automation to streamline process and deliver business value, and owning new system feature testing to support the rollouts across emerging countries. The role requires you to work closely with product managers, tech teams, local operation teams across emerging countries and and other internal/external stakeholders, helping them make data-driven decisions, up problems through various analysis, convert problem statements into process improvement activities & achieve closure. The individual will interact with the business, product, operation & technology teams to help drive operation tools & system improvements, supporting new feature testing for rolling out as well as daily operation issue troubleshooting and triage.
The successful candidate should have the ability to work at all levels with an eye for details to achieve quality & process goals, actively seeks to understand Amazon's core values and translates those into everyday practices.
Key job responsibilities
. Own the defect elimination goal for the functional unit
. Dive deep and understand different upstream systems & processes that lead to product defects
. Drive inputs to improve standard operating procedures, and eliminate any system & product defects
. Drives continuous improvement and contributes to COE (Correction of Error) process by documenting any issues/RCAs/action planning in functional area and owns specific action or change
. Use data analysis to identify gaps, structure initiatives, recommend solutions and drive consensus on strategic inter-function business decisions
. Use Tableau/Quicksight and SQL to create dashboards by task, analyze opportunities, identify patterns and implement proactive solution for operation excellence and process improvements
. Serving as designated specialist within the Vendor Flex and Seller Flex programs, acting as a point of contact and process expert for other colleagues
. Creating best practices by putting forth improvement ideas

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Bachelor degree and/or 2+ years of operations management, project management and a great understanding of the operational processes.
. Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
. Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills.
. Proven record of process improvement projects.
. Ability to understand metrics/reporting/analytics to identify constant improvement options for the process and/or system products.
. Ability to work in fast-paced ambiguous environments, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Degree/Masters in Engineering, Operations, Computer Science or related technical.
. Project management experience (knowledge PMP/Prince2 or practice on either Agile / Waterfall / Lean Six Sigma)
. Experience with reporting & like Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau or other BI packages.
. Experience in leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
