The T&O team consists of a small group of T&O Directors each of whom is supported by a T&O Manager and OE/Analytics Specialist, who form a More Global & More Local design ‘kitchen together with the Global Talent and Performance Management team but are co-located in the clusters to ensure local relevance and consistency in approach.
The T&O Assistant Manager is part of the T&O team co-located with markets HR teams with a geography focus, not a specific market or function. The T&O Manager will be a part of the ‘global kitchen where global T&O standards and solutions are being designed (the ‘70 of the 70-20-10).
As a member of the T&O team, the T&O Assistant Manager will have specific projects allocated to him/her. They will form part of the SCRUM Teams which will also be made up of Learning / Reward / HRS / IT&ETS / HRBPs and Business. Every scrum is responsible for connecting the dots between different functions to deliver ONE employee experience, living the values of empowerment, collaboration, risk taking and experimentation.
T&O Assistant Manager, will be the Lead for talent & organization frameworks for NAMETRUB viz. succession plans for key roles, talent pipelines (across functions), Big Bet Talent, roll up of T&O initiatives, etc.

Horizon 1 'THE CORE' - In conjunction with the T&O Director
  • Responsible for the employee experiences of Global initiatives eg. People Performance Management, Organization Development (Talent to Value, new T&O), Strategic Manpower Planning and int. & ext. sourcing (open talent economy), Talent Management (succession, assignments, development, career frameworks, potential assessment).
  • Responsible for the design and deployment of regional and local solutions (not covered by 70) to support annual business plan or specific business requirements
  • Responsible for the development of Talent Pipeline in NAMETRUB
  • Owns UFLP standards
  • Independently connect and own specific talent pools in NAMETRUB e.g. GM, Hub, CCBTs, etc.
  • Other business challenges talent pools relevant to the Cluster/Category/Function eg. Female talent
  • Roll-up of plans Development People Forums, Talent to Value, T&O and EOY process.
  • Leverages global scale of technologies/platforms (eg. Workday), tools and approaches to drive Unilever standards
  • Responsible for working with HRBPs to roll out and embed the global standards, strengthening local execution ability and consistency of approach
  • Within NAME, co-lead initiatives related to Route-to-Talent (FLEX Experiences, Alternative Hiring Models such as Freelancers, Crowdsourcing etc.)
  • Extensively work with Global and Local stakeholders to ensure NAME colleagues fully adopt the various components of Growth Culture
  • Spearhead and act as an Ambassador of Agile within the NAME HR Team and across the NAME Business Functions/ Divisions
  • Compile and analyze relevant data from various platforms (OneView, Workday, Visier etc.) and sources to draw up compelling Dashboards and Presentations for various Leadership Team Meetings

Horizon 2 'disruptive innovators' - In conjunction with the T&O Director
  • Designs next generation talent management practices, based on markets trends and insights, aligned to annual business plans and specific business requirements
  • Working on for the Strategic Manpower Planning (Internal and External Open Talent Economy)
  • Responsible for applying new technology, predictive analytics, insights and AI into talent management, succession planning and development practices
  • Sales up the design of regional best practices in talent management and organization development practices to other key markets
  • Building T&O Capability in cluster/cat/function

The T&O Assistant Manager will work with extensive internal and external networks and stakeholders. These include, but not limited to:
  • External partners, networks, forums to bring the outside in
  • T&O Communities and Scrum Teams to deliver the design of key global initiatives
  • Global Talent and Performance Management Team for next generation talent management and performance management practices
  • OE Team for strategic manpower planning and deploying AI and other technology improvement into talent assessment, succession planning, and development opportunities - with OE/Analytics Team
  • Global Learning Team for new culture change and learning initiatives eg. Refreshed SOLs, coaching, UL2020 mindsets/behaviour
  • HR Teams and People Leads with a T&O Major on a single integrated approach and ONE employee experience

Relevant Experience
  • Qualified to a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • A genuine interest in talent management, performance management, organization development
  • The candidate must have a - good understanding of how Unilever operates globally and in NAMETRUB & NAME with previous experience working in a complex matrix international/global organization.

Key Skills:
  • As the role interfaces with a wide range of senior stakeholders in NAMETRUB the candidate must have strong influencing skills and be extremely customer focused
  • An ability to prioritize with a strong delivery (through others!) focus and attention to detail are essential.
  • An ability to translate ideas into execution accompanied by strong and easy to understand project plans
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong Problem solving / analytical ability
  • The ability to see the big picture while delivering on day-to-day goals.
