Riyadh Metro project represents a public transit system of 6 main lines covering 176 KM and 85 highly equipped stations with cutting-edge technology, these 6 lines cover most of the highly populated districts, government’s facilities, educational and commercials outlets.
Alstom, as part of FLOW Consortium is responsible for core Transit System Maintenance for Lines 3 4,5 &6, is in process of deploying various tools (software & systems) for its day to day functioning.
As per contractual requirements, IBM Maximo is being deployed by the consortium as the CMMS Tool.
In addition, to manage Alstom’s internal business process around Financial & Controlling, Supply Chain, SCM, Procurement, Quality Manufacturing, Industrialization & Maintenance Management, Alstom has deployed various modules of SAP ERP (named GSI) & DELMIA Apriso (names SES). In addition to GSI & SES BEING INTEGRATED, Alstom is also in process of integrating it with IBM Maximo.
What are my responsibilities
As a GSI Support Engineer, you will, manage day to day operational use / support / knowledge and process strengthening, and enhancement of the Riyadh Metro based GSI (SAP Core Modules), and SES Tools (alongside its integrations).
Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the Business in day to day running & efficient usage of GSI / SES / Integrated processes & system through a team of Business Key Users.
  • Leverage domain & functional expertise for above systems to Business Users during operational use
  • Managing day to day support needs for system usage across Business, including but not limited to Level 1 functional support, Issue management, System Testing, Training, Data management, and Department specific inputs, etc
  • Build working relationship with Alstom regional and central teams for GSI / SES / IS&T for Technical & extended Functional support (As needed)
  • Drive knowledge management and enablement for the system across Business
  • Drive system & User skill maturity through ongoing trainings, new enhancement, future system interactions
  • Support Site level KPI reporting / tracking for the specific System
  • Report to the Alstom CMMS Manager for progress reporting, issues resolution & site prioritization needs
What do I need to qualify for this job

  • The preferred candidate MUST have past working experience and managing the Global SAP Landscape for at least more than one modules / Business Areas
  • In addition to be a functional expert in SAP, you shall be a natural leader with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You know how to develop and maintain relationships with your team, peers and customers. You will exemplify a collaborative and creative approach to problem solving and demonstrate the ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications

  • Working experience with SAP core modules in above business areas, in similar integrated.
  • Experience in a leadership role, minimum as Team Lead for system support management
  • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of training.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the field of railway, automotive or aerospace.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction across various departments & reginal stakeholders
  • Exposure to IBM Maximo or DELMIA Apriso
