JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Provide personalized coordinated care and support for patients and family.
  • Treat people with dignity, compassion and respect.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food display.
  • Determine production schedules and staff requirement necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment and work area to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Instruct cooks and other worker in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
  • Monitor sanitation practice to ensure that employees follow standard and regulation.
  • Responsible to order or requisition of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and worker engaged in food preparation.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menu's taking into account such factors as personnel availability of ingredients and the likely numbers of patients.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food product to ensure that standard are met.
  • Check the quantity and quality of received product.
  • Record production and operational data in specified form.
  • Plan, direct and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities of multiple kitchen staff.

QUALIFICATIONS :
  • College Degree and with Diploma on Culinary course.
  • At least with Background Experience in Hospital/Dietary Services.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :
  • 7 years in hospitality (Hotel and restaurant (hospital Dietitian, Computer skills, Excel, Windows Access etc.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS :
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral some knowledge of basic Arabic an asset.
  • Be able to read and fully comprehend hospital, medical and clinical reference material.

COMPETENCE:
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.

REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:
  • Proper, effective and compassionate communication.
  • The ability to communicate with and gain the trust of people from a range of backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to deal with a variety of circumstances that need immediate action.
