Job Description :
This senior role is responsible for leading and managing the Compliance related initiatives and technology platform support
Role purpose:
  • Be updated with the latest regulations and directives given by local regulatory authority. Ensure that the required changes or system enhancements are incorporated to meet the timelines expected.
  • Identify, recommend, and deliver improvements to the processes, systems and solutions. Resolve compliance related needs quickly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for reviewing business demands & requirements, liaise with Internal / External parties to find and lead the evaluation of a suitable solution that may arise from the changes in economic, regulatory and compliance metrics and factored into the short and long-term strategies for addressing the current and foreseeable business problems and opportunities.
  • The incumbent proposes enhancements to business / technical processes for better automation of respective business areas, oversees project activities and ensures that implementation is as per the defined scope, time and cost. And also build and maintain relationships with related business units.
  • Lead by example the delivery of excellent customer service to the satisfaction of respective business units and continually enhance the level of IT services for enhanced customer experience. Capable of solving complex technical and business problems by devising and leading the implementation of efficient solutions.
  • Prepare IT budget for the department and control spending and incorporate measure for cost savings.

Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Relationship management - Build Trust and engage with Business on periodic basis and act as single point of contact (SPOC) for IT Requirement handling. Address business escalations by working with internal stakeholders and vendors. Have periodic meeting to discuss key strategic initiatives, product enhancements and roadmap, provide information on new technology trends.
  • Accountable to ensure that actions are assigned and completed as per agreed plan. Recommend new and innovative technology ideas to business that supports business growth and revenue.
  • Master the industry compliance landscape, and market intelligence.
  • Optimize all compliance channels and platforms.
  • Leading and ensuring delivery of compliance related projects and responding to internal and external compliance oversight requests.
  • Ensure department goals and objectives remain aligned to the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Manage the department budget Manage risks and issues and taking corrective measurements.
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems or issues, systematically and effectively, such as optimizing and sharing resources across the initiatives and deliverables.
  • Work with businesses and solution providers to develop new compliance solutions for the Bank to match the capabilities at the center of excellence.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and develop new strategies and more efficient processes related to payments operations.
  • Identify, justify, and support new projects related to the overall improvement of payments operations, serving as a key stakeholder for all aspects of payments project life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation)
  • Familiarity with the payments related technology landscape and experience with leveraging partnerships to deliver advanced solutions

  • In depth knowledge of all relevant banking and regulatory rules and policies related to compliance operations including current industry processing models and future industry strategies.
  • Experience in compliance systems product development or management.
  • Sharp business acumen including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return, strong leadership capability, deliverance, objectivity, excellent interpersonal skills, multicultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Domain knowledge of compliance related processes, systems and solutions.
  • Technical/Functional understanding of assigned application portfolio
  • Effective Project Management & Business Analysis skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts.

Required experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably master's degree, in computer science
  • 10 years experience with minimum 3 years of management experience in relevant area of banking and technology domain.
  • Managed large team to deliver operational goals.
