Investment Compliance Officer - Assistant Lead (Investment Consulting) - various UK or Ireland locations - flexible working available
What can you expect:

  • Based in the business rather than in the Compliance team, you will be given the opportunity to help shape the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of processes and policies in an industry leading organisation

  • Working closely with your line manager you will focus on investment matters to pension scheme clients, but with scope to be involved in projects across the business

  • Manage and/or support national initiatives and help identify risks, issues and mitigations

We will count on you to:

  • Have an enquiring mind to identify risks in processes and propose mitigations

  • Manage and take responsibility for delivery of projects to deadlines, including working independently

  • Provide material for and attend, risk and professionalism committee meetings

  • Draft, check and as necessary, peer-review of internal and external documents, including client material

  • Take responsibility for responding to colleague questions in a timely manner

  • Communication with colleagues across the business, compliance and legal functions to ensure effective implementation of policies and processes

What you need to have:

  • Proven and demonstrable compliance experience

  • Have worked within investments ideally giving advice and/or have worked within a professional and risk management role within investment services

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

  • Proven ability to build relationships with colleagues

  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities to ensure the prompt delivery of services

  • Relevant experience in the above with a great attitude and ability to communicate well at all levels

  • Strong technical pensions knowledge, particularly investment requirements and the current regulatory regime

  • A good understanding of current pension issues
