Job Description
We are currently looking for experienced Lead Quantity Surveyors to join our team to work on new projects across varying sectors in Oman. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in Oman.
Responsibilities
Supervising the performance of the quantity surveying team to ensure quality and timeliness in delivery.
Ensuring that each member of the quantity surveying team runs their section to the highest professional standards, that all information is current, and that every member of the team is receiving the information they need to fulfil their responsibilities.
Review and sign off of estimates.
Overseeing the maintenance of change management logs for the project. (SQS Role)
Reviewing and validating certification of contractor pay applications by consultants. (SQS Role).
Claim analysis and recommendation to the client
Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a consistent and adequate administration procedures. These procedures will be followed across the project by the respective Quantity Surveyors working within the team.
Analysing information, reporting and recommendations.
Reviewing the commercial aspects of proposed contract changes.
Contract Interpretation.
Participating and providing direction to the project team, to achieve timely project deliverables.
Essential
Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or related
Minimum 15+ years Quantity Surveying working experience in the Middle East.
Experience working on Cost X is a must
Knowledge and understanding of the following:
Cost planning (concept design, schematic design & detailed design)
Measurement / BOQ in POMI & CESMM
Collation of Contract Documentation
Understanding of FDIC Forms of Contracts
Buildings, Residential projects
Demonstrate good understanding of compiling unit rates for estimating
Middle East Experience
Chartered or working towards MRICSEssential (Planning & time management, influencing skills, customer focus etc.)
Self-starter
Task orientated
Team player but able to work independently with minimum supervision
Able to meet set deliverables
Punctual
Confident
Good communication skills, both oral and written
