Job Description

Job Purpose:
Responsible for creating a job plan/package from the work order scope for large, complex non-routine jobs, typically on Turnarounds and Projects vs. daily maintenance jobs incorporating details from applicable Engineering Specifications as required.
Also, uses below factors in determining jobs: ·
  • Critical equipment · Turnaround jobs. ·
  • Project jobs.
  • Duration > 1-2 days
  • Involves non-standard contractors (e.g. OEM’s, Tower Internals, etc.

1. Uses quality feedback from contractors/person Doing Work to optimize the archived plans.
2. Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper if not complete
3. Uses, where possible, an archived plan for basis of actual plan.
4. Carry out field check to verify exact equipment status.
5. Reviews and incorporates details from applicable Engineering Specifications as needed for complex, non-routine jobs.
6. Prepare job package and input plan into CMMS indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
7. Work with Maintenance Scheduler to ensure job plan steps are accurately incorporated into schedules for large, complex jobs including most turnaround jobs.
8. When materials availability has been confirmed, store job in active backlog.
9. Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan.
10. Identify materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
11. Identify/solicit safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
12. Record tasks/information within the work order.
13. Notify other crafts of their requirement to provide input to job plan (verbal, communication sub).
14. Archive repetitive job plans. 15. Consider constructability and maintainability when developing plans.
16. Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications.
17. Utilizes the Most Effective Technology where applicable.
18. Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices are strictly comply with EH&S guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.
19. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
