Job Objective
The role holder will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical, plumbing and BMS installation provide any additional support/setup for events associated.

Job Outputs and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of the following system
  1. Plumbing and Piping System,
  2. HVAC System
  3. BMS System
  4. Pumps
  5. Fire Hydrant System
  • Analyze mechanical, plumbing and BMS system problems and formulate solutions for the same.
  • Oversee and manage the day to day maintenance works.
  • Should be able to understand the mechanical and other systems drawings.
  • Perform schedule check of the system instruments in order to keep the system in healthy condition
  • Schedule check for pressure and air conditioning duct leakage and report to the manager for the same.
  • Maintain the appropriate amount of spare for the systems.
  • Provide additional support/setup required for the events.
  • Execute and monitor all maintenance activities around the premises
  • Perform other tasks and duties as directed by the Manager, MEP
  • Suggest and oversee any necessary upgrade in the system to cater for the requirements
  • Keep the system downtime minimum.
  • Perform tasks assigned in the given timeframe.

Nature & Scope
  1. Job Context: This is a position that requires initiative, self-supporting and a high degree of flexibility and hands on approach. The Mechanical Engineer is fully responsible for maintenance of equipments for HVAC, plumbing and BMS system to keep the systems in healthy condition at all times.
  1. Reporting Relationships: This role reports directly to the Manager, MEP and has no direct reports.

  • Problem Solving: The employee must ensure and thoroughly familiarize himself with all the facilities and equipments and must be able to answer the call for any breakdowns and action it accordingly.
  • Decision Making: The jobholder is required to prioritize requests and decide which are critical and action immediately and complete others within agreed timeframes.
  • Planning and Organizing: Ensure contingencies in place to minimize service failures.
  • Job Challenge: The key challenge of this job is to deliver the highest levels of service.

  • Job Requirements(Minimum level of education, professional qualifications, background and years of experience and desired competencies required to do the job).
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years work experience
    • Experience in Installation & Maintenance of Large MEP projects would be an added advantage
    • Good written and verbal communication (English) and interpersonal skills, Arabic language is an advantage
    • Being flexible and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
