Job Summary

  • Responsible to ensure that the MEP scope of work are executed as per the contractor's approved project quality management system and contract requirements.

  • Ensuring that any subcontract agency has understood the requirements of the project quality management system procedure/ process including the Inspection & Test Plans and Method Statements.

  • Undertake quality audit for the contractor's MEP works to evaluate the QMS performance and effectiveness of project quality management system.

  • Ensure prior to start of any activity onsite that all relevant quality procedures/approvals are obtained to ensure fulfillment of the works in a quality controlled manner

  • Conduct quality check and site inspections on all MEP works

  • Ensure availability of sufficient quality control staffs from the contractor to monitor and control QA/QC program implementation for MEP scope of works to fulfill the contractual requirements.

  • Issue observation reports and if necessary (via the AQ/QC Manager) Nonconformance Report (NCR) for any work / material deemed nonconforming to the project's specs, approved drawings, codes and standards

  • Ensure that Corrective Actions and Preventive Measures proposed by contractor in respect to NCR are formally approved and are taken to closure

  • Update and manage quality control log such as work inspection request, material inspection request, NCRs, observations… etc.

  • Raising-up the quality control concern during the progress & management meetings with the contractor, subcontractor and suppliers

  • Ensuring MEP scope of work quality status related to nonconformance, discrepancy, quality rejection/ approval etc incorporated into the quality record retained by the contractors site team

Evaluate technical competence of subcontractors to perform the works allotted to them
Minimum Requirements

  • Builds analytic and design skills.

  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
