Oliver Wyman is now looking for a Resource Manager to join our team in Dubai or Riyadh As Resource Manager, you'll be engaging actively and personally with local consultants in IMEA as well as know and understand their current strengths and development objectives, personal preferences and career goals.
You'll also frequently interact with partners across Industries and Capabilities, ACG TMs and the other CCG talent managers across the region to understand and address project staffing needs, balancing them with consultant preferences and career goals.
As Resource Manager, you'll specifically beMonitoring Consultant Performance:
Actively engaging in career review process working closely with the local CCG TM Team and CCG Partner - reading all project reviews as completed, and participating in reviewing processes
Proactively seeking informal feedback from partners, principals and engagement managers as projects are ending to ensure issues and development objectives are taken into account for next staffing assignment as appropriate, seeking informal feedback every 2-3 months on longer projects
Providing career advice to consultants in IMEA and be keenly aware of consultants preferences and performance based on frequent personal interactions. Working closely with the local CCG Partner and the TM Lead on ensuring consultants understand development needs and coach consultants on how best to meet firm expectations
Ensuring skills & experiences are updated based on project reviews
Advising on, and locally managing, Oliver Wyman Talent Management programs and business school sponsorship
Staffing of External Client Projects:
For assigned projects, collecting all relevant details from Partners and/or ACG/CCT TMs on projects to be staffed
Coordinating and interacting daily with consulting team to collaboratively and creatively develop team options with consultants across IMEA, if required (not just from each individual TM's staffing pool) to provide best fit solutions. Providing Partner and/or TM Lead with appropriate team options
Managing Business Development, IC and other beach work needs
Managing consultants vacation approvals and extensions
Tracking and proactively managing consultant development & training in IMEA:
Proactively engaging consultants on up-to-date preferences and discuss options when available / appropriate
Tracking how consultants are progressing against development objectives and line up intervention when
appropriate, keeping the TM lead and CCG Partner up to date on concerns and issues
Tracking all consultant in IMEA for career progression for skills development, length of time on project, suggested training schedule, etc.
Primarily responsible for consultant data integrity - keeping track of consultant database including availability, project experiences, areas of expertise, areas of interests, competency and skills development, overall career progression etc.
Tracking the morale of offices in IMEA:
Monitoring local office morale and coordinating local CCG events
Acting as the primary informal communication conduit for issues that may arise in the CCG
Coordinating and raising work life balance challenges - discuss with consultant and TM team and recommend action plan.
What we would love to see the following from you:
You'll have at least 2-3 years of Resource Management, Talent Management or HR experience from within a in a fast-paced and dynamic client services business environment - individuals from the management consulting or Big 4 firms are preferred
Experience of working with a resource management system is highly desirable
Strong proficiency with data analysis and reporting is preferred
Experience of balancing ever-changing work demands in a challenging environment with numerous stakeholders to satisfy
The proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization
Strong Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
Fluency in English (written and verbal)
