Job Description

• Design and develop new applications, forms, reports, workflows leveraging OpenText Content Server
• Build and modify OpenText Content Server workflows, forms, reports, and custom taxonomy/metadata according to specifications and expand upon existing applications to meet ongoing needs
• Collaborate on requirements and solution design
• Provide estimates and prepare technical specification based on understanding of functional specification
• Design and code based on development standards and approaches
• Perform development quality checks
• Provide guidance and leadership to less experienced developers
• Perform unit testing
• Assist with functional acceptance testing as needed
• Provide timely defect resolution to minimize delays in project timeline
• Assist with code build and deployment process
• Provide timely status updates
• Contribute, understand and adhere to Application Development processes, software development standards, and technical approaches relevant to assigned technology
• Responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of applications as assigned and interfaces partnering with vendors to ensure quality services
• Troubleshoot and resolve system related production issues, identify root causes, work with vendors on bugs/fixes and implement quality solutions
• Perform daily administration of the application environment
• Build and leverage automation to decrease overall system downtime and improve system operations
• Create change requests and apply approved change requests to system functionality and configuration
• Modify, enhance and or create solutions to meet business requirements
• Review, plan, test and implement system upgrades and enhancements
• Partner with developers to build system functionality and improve quality attributes
• Review system patches and updates by vendor to ensure minimal system impact
• Participate on project teams producing quality and timely deliverables
• Perform unit testing of solutions prior to moving to production
• Build and leverage metrics, incident reports, availability reporting and trends to improve system functionality
• Produce reports to monitor enhancements, upgrades, and patches to the environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership team

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Minimum of 5+ years of overall IT work experience
• Experience working with the federal government is preferred
• Strong development experience on the OpenText Content Server platform (using Content Server Web Services, REST APIs, OScript) preferably with 10.5/16 versions Java or .NET development experience with good knowledge of Object oriented programming concepts
• Hands on development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSL and SQL
• Experience working with Workflows, CS Widgets, Workspaces, Connected Workspaces, Web Reports, Web Forms, Templates in Livelink/Content Server Data migration exposure from other ECM systems to OpenText using migration tools (InfoFusion OTIC, OpenText Object Importer etc.)
• Experience working with other OpenText products like Archive Server, OTDS, Enterprise Scan, Enterprise Connect, Document Pipeline, Rendition Server, Capture Center, InfoFusion, OTMM, EPS, Process Suite, Output Center is preferred
• Experience with other ECM solutions like Documentum, Hyland, etc. is preferred
• Knowledge of software development standards and best practice approaches
• Exposure to Agile development methodology
• Ability to perform multiple duties concurrently with attention to detail and quality
• Ability to prioritize and manage work
• Ability to proactively monitor and communicate for timely escalation of issues
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug in assigned technology
• Ability to interact with internal and external team members
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
