Job Description
The role reporting to the Head of Commodities, has the following responsibilities:
- To assist in the development and management of the company's Commodities Portfolio
- Take responsibility for specific investments and to evaluate new investment opportunities
- Post-acquisition, to ensure appropriate reporting, performance monitoring and risk assessment of investments
- Accuracy of reporting and clear identification of variances/issues
- Compliance with operational procedures and instructions
- Appropriateness of recommendations with clear demonstration of value preservation/enhancement
- Clear demonstration of value enhancement to the portfolio and overall strategy
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have:
- Atleast a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, economics or equivalent
- A strong preference for a master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or equivalent or CFA
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant progressive professional experience in similar investment and/or advisory institutions as well as expertise in the Commodities sector is a plus
- A preference for sub-sector experience for mining or agriculture
- Strong communication skills
