Amazon's location data and routing inputs play a crucial role in our vehicle Routing System and other critical applications for Amazon Last Mile Delivery, Prime Now, and other Amazon businesses. The MENA Team aims to ease the delivery process by continuously improving the accuracy of data used for optimizing the last mile process. The team partners with Last-Mile Address Quality, Geospatial, Routing, data science and operations to identify gaps in the existing technology and implement sustainable and long-term solutions to minimize these gaps.
The MENA Team in UAE is looking for a Quality Specialist who will act as the first level of support for address resolution, geocode correction maps edits, driver support and static route management in Last Mile along with other operational issues and activities related to Transportation process and optimization.
Your efforts will impact our customers directly! Your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success. This job will enable you to experience a breadth of impact across multiple Engineering and Operations groups. We are looking for someone with strong experience in people management and process excellence. Driving great employee and candidate experience will be of utmost importance in this role
. Roles and Responsibilities:
This includes, but is not limited to:
. Manages team of 30 to 50 Associates.
. Manage team's performance, provide coaching & feedback to direct reports. Provides training and guidance on policies, processes, and systems to customer and team members.
. Ensure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a periodic basis
. Manage day-to-day operations of the team
. Perform regular 1:1's with each of your associates promptly addressing any performance, conduct, or attendance concerns.
. Communicate effectively with other operations and/or program managers at other sites regarding risks, mitigation strategies, and success of project SLAs
. Management of SLAs (Service Level Agreements), quality, and customer experience
. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform manual audits and resolve outliers/exceptions
. Identify patterns emerging in the audits and contribute to process/program improvements
. Provide timely response to stakeholders on related tasks as per SOP and SLA
. Systematically escalate problems to the relevant owners/ teams according to pre-determined process
. Understand performance metrics for driving business goals
. Experience in managing/leading a team
. Leadership experience in coaching and people and performance management
. Strong oral (speaking, listening, interpretation) and written communication skills
. Strong analytical skills you are someone who wants to dive into the numbers and seek to understand and has depth of experience in Excel
. Sound problem-solving ability and analytical skills
. Working Knowledge of MS Office products such as Word
. Excellent communication and data presentation skills
. Fluent written and spoken English skills
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
