RAMS ENGINEER

Lead teams safely in all aspects of Track Maintenance, follow direction from the Section Supervisor or Assistant Section Supervisor so that work is undertaken safely, compliantly and optimising productivity

Operate and carry out light maintenance of SAR Maintenance of Way machines including, but not limited to:

Undertake visual inspections of track assets to identify and report defects that could cause safety incidents i.e. broken rails, detailed inspection for switches &crossings etc.

To undertake maintenance welding activities on SAR Infrastructure as directed by Senior Welding Specialist, to perform all facets of arc welding on tracks to produce a safe and usable track.

To be responsible for procuring and contract administrating minor works projects and framework contracts across the buildings portfolio,

Under the line management of the Area Supervisor and technical direction of the Structures Maintenance Supervisor, be responsible for all activities relating to earthworks (embankments & cuttings), Bridges, Culverts, Retaining Walls

Responsible in creating the BIM Models using REVIT and AutoCAD

To work at stations & workshop for electrical and mechanical building systems and machines, supervising planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and improvements and enhancements.
