Our client is a leading wholesale building materials client. They are now looking for a Regional Sales Development Manager to join them.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Primary purpose - The role will support sales across all brands within the Kitchen and Bathroom sector, with the emphasis on securing new business and managing through to implementation and to continually build relationships within our key client base to deliver sustainable sales growth in both Retail as Contract and Hospitality sector.
  • Sales - Take responsibility for all interactions with key clients, including wholesalers, business owners, distributors, contractors, value engineers, site managers, architects, designers, hoteliers, planning offices Develop partnerships and add structure/professionalism to provide higher levels of service than our competitors - to exceed industry standard practice and client expectations every time Engage in site/office visits, customer training and product seminars, providing technical advice & guidance, providing sample requests and lead follow-ups, , attend industry events and private functions, support company exhibitions, host occasional evening engagements to suits customer requirements Establish, maintain and expand the customer base through suitable channels Maintaining, monitoring and increasing sales of the company's products Reaching the targets and goals set for your area Servicing the needs of your existing customers Increase business opportunities through various routes to market Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all decision makers Deliver Sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and products
  • Reporting and Evaluation - Provide reports detailing performance against agreed KPI's on a monthly basis. Update project pipeline file and ensure alignment with financial reports. Provide status overview of key projects detailing next steps and key milestones. Flag risks and project completion issues in a timely fashion, with recommendations to resolve. Identify new opportunities and appraise market/competitor dynamics to feed insights into the business
  • Specification Generation - Create detailed and transparent quotes as requested by all supply chain partners. Ensure proposals are profitable and competitive. Provide quick response times to capitalize on immediate opportunities and show commitment to the customer. Identify and pursue additional opportunities not included in client requests to maximise project value
  • Technical/IT - Accurately interpret architect / technical drawings, client liaison to determine design criteria and budgetary expectations, creating alternative formats, conducting product/competitor benchmarking, appraising companies capabilities to meet project requirements, exploring alternative solutions, providing recommendations to meet client needs and increase our chances of winning the contract. Research clients/projects via planning applications specification portals, trade press and social media, utilise lead generation software such as Top Hotel, cold call prospecting via email/phone.
  • Project Management - External- Take ownership of all aspects of a project from first contact through design stage, project registration, price negotiation with end user, contract partner and main contractor, tender enquiries, value engineering, provision of samples, technical enquiries, building regulation compliance, WRASS and other approvals, adherence to hotel brand standards, competition from other manufacturers, supply chain management, competition within contract partners, liaison with main/sub-contractors, site-visits for installation issues, delivery schedules, after-sales support. Internal: Coordinate cross-departmental activities to meet customer deadlines understand bottlenecks/challenges to overcome and general problem solving.
