The Marine studies section of the Center for Environment and Water in the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, invites applications for a Faculty position specializing in Terrestrial Ecology. The incumbent will complement existing faculty strengths, and must have strong background knowledge in the in the fields of desert ecosystem, soil quality, and fauna of the desert environment. He must also have strong computer skills to conduct multivariate analysis from the datasets.

Job Responsibility
The successful candidate is expected to provide technical services to the section related to their mission of improving the understanding of faunal communities in the desert environment by providing technical expertise in the identification, classification and data analysis. This position requires field surveys, identification, data generation, processing, quality checking, and preparation of reports on Faunal communities.

Applicants must have a Doctoral degree in biology, wildlife or natural resources field with specialization in desert fauna. The incumbent must have experience in wetland and sabkha assessments, delineations, and mitigation, endangered species surveys and ecological risk assessments.
