Job Description
The Marine studies section of the Center for Environment and Water in the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has a dedicated Ecotoxicology laboratory to conduct Eco physiological experiments in a simulated tropical marine environment and several chemical, biological, and sedimento- logical laboratories. Currently the section is seeking to fill a faculty position in Marine Ecotoxicology. The candidate will be responsible for the development and testing of new methods for Whole Effluent Toxicity testing and to identify local species for the evaluation of toxicity.

Job Responsibility
The successful candidate is expected to establish a working group within the section that deals with tracking chemical stressors (organic, inorganic) and other toxic substances and their effects within the most important tropical marine ecosystems (e.g. coral reefs, mangroves and sea grass) in the context of marine ecotoxicity assessment.

Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in marine toxicology/ ecology/ environmental science from reputable institution, strong record of published research, experience in mariculture, larval biology, microbiology and use of modern scientific instruments such as PCR. Applicant is expected to have a broad knowledge of marine ecology and environmental management, demonstrated understanding of ecotoxicology and impact/pollution monitoring and ability to publish high impact peer reviewed papers.
