About Careem Express
Careem Express is a new vertical within the Careem ecosystem - a startup within a startup. We are responsible for fulfillment and last mile delivery for hundreds of merchants in a variety of industries including e- commerce, food, grocery and other areas. We are a small and passionate team that is building the next big vertical for Careem.
Account managers are at the core of Careem Express. They are our face to clients and we rely on them to provide an amazing merchant
experience by building strong relationship, addressing issues quickly and using data insights to add value. They are responsible for growing demand in a sustainable way.
About the role
  • Achieve monthly GMV targets through a mix of new merchant signups and increasing share of business with existing accounts
  • Be responsible for key accounts and large regional accounts
  • Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Pricing understanding and negotiating best prices with merchants
  • Work closely with operations / logistics team internally & make sure the client requirements are serviced and strike the right balance between operational feasibility, delivery cost and client experience
  • Manage day-day business and operational relationship with merchant partners at operational staff level and increase share of business / get exclusivity on delivery partnership

About you
  • 5+ years of sales & account management experience (preferably from eCommerce or Hyperlocal commerce background)
  • High performer - track record of generating revenue for businesses
  • Business development mindset coupled with Operational detail orientation
  • Problem solver
  • Arabic speaker
  • Energetic and excited about joining a startup environment
