JOB DESCRIPTION
Role : Senior Associate, Regulatory Reporting
Location :Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:
  1. Ensure the timely submission of Regulatory reports to the CBUAE and Ministry of Finance.
  2. Established SLA's and SOPs for the required regulatory reports preparation.
  3. Ensures quality data collection and reconciliation techniques are established for internal and external reporting.
  4. Quality enhancement of risk reports and automation of the reports using SAS/Excel.
  5. Proficiently organize and update management reports.
  6. Identify root causes/key drivers for alarming trends, risk pockets, portfolio quality and variances
Key Accountabilities of the role /RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Preparation of the Ministry of Finance report on Loans, Undisbursed and NPA portfolio.
  2. Preparation of the entire BRF related to TESS, Real estate, Large exposures, Risk based survey for central bank submission. (Including bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports).
  3. Preparation of all new BRF reports and CB audit requirements assigned to ERM unit.
  4. Accurate development of the base data files used on a monthly basis for all regulatory reporting
  5. Analysis of the FI and cross border portfolios and preparation of MIS packs and presentations to be circulated to business and risk managers on a quarterly basis.
  6. Analysis of the international banking portfolio (Iraq, Qatar and UK) and preparation of MIS packs and presentations to be circulated to business and risk managers on a quarterly basis.
  7. MIS Pack on high risk countries - Prepare quarterly Management action triggers for High Risk portfolio and present changes in Key economic indicators of risky countries.
  8. Monitor the obligor concentration limit requirements and legal lending limits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  9. Prepare, review and update SLAs and SOPs periodically.
  10. Developed the Quarterly Risk Control Self-Assessment Model and actioned Gaps as required.
  11. Serve as backup of Portfolio and Risk Analytics team members.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
  1. Excellent business knowledge of the Regulatory and non-retail portfolios of the bank including WBG, PBG, IBG, GSAM and FI
  2. Well versed with regulatory reporting guidelines and requirements published by Central Bank
  3. Attention to detail, accuracy oriented with sense of accountability
  4. Advanced user of MS Office, ALGO, BO, CCP, crystal reports and Phoenix
  5. Technical knowledge for using SAS for running periodic reports and automation.

Previous experience required (if any)
  1. Experience in regulatory reporting
  2. Relevant portfolio analytics experience reviewing multiple portfolios
  3. Advanced user of MS-Excel, Power-point and MS Office Suite
  4. Experience in core-banking systems, Business objects and automation of reports
  5. Experience in using statistical software for automation such as SAS
  6. Minimum of 12 years relevant experience is required.
