As Senior Finance Analyst you will be responsible for managing, analyzing and reporting data and information related to the business performance of the relevant Business division, completes business intelligence analysis, makes forecasts relating to the medium-long term trend of our product portfolio and identifying and monitoring KPI's (key performance indicator). Assess efficiency of our commercial network and strategically support the business and management decision making activities. This role reports to the Country Controller, provides an equally distributed support to the marketing and sales team.
Other Key Responsibilities: -
Deal with the management for ordinary reporting, create new reports according to the needs of the business
Support business director on day to day and ad hoc requests
Be an active part of finance and business related projects
Carry out Business intelligence analysis to support forecasting and strategic marketing planning activities, with the aim of evaluating:
Support the Product Manager in carrying out market research (definition of the survey objective, brief to the Market Research company, analysis of results)
BPC inputs and validation, coordination with EMEA business and finance teams
Budget / ASR preparation and performance analysis and comments on Actuals.
Prepare and send to the Sales Managers or Area Sales Managers the reports relating to:
Sales statistics by account and turnover deviations towards the dealer sales planning
Sales statistics by product and budget variances
In collaboration with the Unit Directors and the Sales & Marketing functions, processes, inserts and updates budgets and forecasts (sales, profit, expenses) with the needed level of detail, granularity and temporality
In collaboration with local and European Finance, analyzes, validates and updates the P & L components pertaining to the Business Unit
Supports the Sales Force, the Sales Effectiveness Office and the Distribution
Network Coordinator in the analysis / validation of the various performances, also through the preparation of ad hoc tools and analysis
During the fiscal year, will be constantly monitors the evolution of sales, profitability, pricing trends and the Risks & Opportunities funnel, promptly detecting and analyzing any deviation from expectations
Provides the necessary support for the preparation of the Monthly Performance Call, the Business Review and the ASR
About You: -
Degree in Business, finance or equivalent related work experience
Customer oriented approach towards our key stakeholders and lead by example eg BD Core Values and BD Leadership Standard
Additional Competencies: Be able to handle multiple priorities, manage processes efficiency and deal with matrix environment
Analytics: Be able to assimilate data, understand trends and articulate relevant information with business to determine continuous improvement.
Company Perspective: Have a strong understanding and knowledge of the business and function and how they interact.
Develop into a subject matter expert, support the BP&A organization participating in process improvement initiatives and developing standard methodologies to be rolled out across the BP&A group
Develop knowledge of BDX Strategy, develop knowledge of the Segments, Businesses, Regions, Hubs and Countries in Europe and EMA
Good written and verbal communications skills including presentations
Well-developed analytical skills including business economics, accounting and basic financial modelling
Ability to plan, organise, monitor and execute work
Team player with good influencing skills
Challenge and question the business team to drive better decision
Ability to learn, work towards results and continuously seeks to improve
Very strong IT reporting technical skills (XLS, PBI, SAP, PPT, BPC, etc)
