Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (BI & System Design)
Reports to: Department Manager - Management Reporting
Unit / Division: Financial Planning & Management Reporting Group/ Finance Group

JOB PURPOSE:
Provide professional and technical specialist advice to effectively manage the business data analysis efforts by establishing the systems, processes and framework, providing direction to the team and ensuring the use of the right mix of data analysis tools, while collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure in-depth analysis in order to assist senior management in making well-informed decisions and for sustainable growth of various products and services.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
Business Intelligence (BI)
.Manage projects under Business Intelligence liaise with key stakeholders through periodic meetings to understand the specific business requirements related to financial and market analysis.
.Define guidelines, processes and parameters etc. for conducting BI analysis in order to ensure consistency in the process followed for data analysis.
.Provide inputs to relevant stakeholders involved in data collection to ensure the data collection efforts are channelized in the right direction for collection of meaningful information.
.Perform complex analysis and data modelling for multiple products and across business segments with the objective of getting insights on product performance, response of customers, consumer spending patterns etc.
.Leverage varied analysis techniques to conduct the requisite data analysis to generate insights for stakeholders to define a compelling product value proposition.
.Provide inputs to relevant stakeholders for planning various marketing campaigns by analysis of sales and acquisitions effect of such campaigns on business growth by providing the financial related information for their performance identifications and planning/budgeting in order to support product development and enhancing effectiveness of campaigns.
.Work in close coordination with business to translate the data collated into insights and recommendations for insights on product development, review of product performance etc.
.Work closely with IT department to build and establish a high standard of Business Intelligence capability through the Data-Warehouse and other analytical tools.
.Oversee the on-boarding of the related software ensuring seamless implementation of the software.
.Manage the various business requests prioritize them for the specific IT teams to support timely BI analysis and collation of best fitted data.
.Develop the data tracking mechanism and review, analyze and present the data to the Management to support decision making.
.Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, tools for generating reports as and when required by the top management.
Business Partnership
.Monitor business drivers and key performance indicators and to provide managers and decision makers with ready access to the information and analytics required for decision making on various aspects of their business.
.Partner with the business teams to understand key performance indicators (KPIs), business processes and underlying data sources to collect and build function requirements for dashboards.
.Manage the development of consumer insights reports to ensure effective collation and presentation of the requisite financial data that assists involved stakeholders in making informed decisions.
.Manage the preparation of requisite reports and MIS through periodic reviews to ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting the right information for facilitating informed decision making.
Continuous Improvement
.Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement BI practices taking into account ‘international, best fitted practices and tools, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

.Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
.Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
.Provide input for preparation of the Unit / Divisional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver objectives.
.Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

.Implement approved Unit / Divisional policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
.Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Unit / Division in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
.Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
.Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
.Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and Company Code of Practices.
Reports
.Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
. Bachelor's Degree in Finance discipline.
. CFA certification is preferred.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
. 8 years of experience in Market research, Investment Analysis, of which at least 3 years in a similar environment.
